The Head of IT Governance, Risk and Compliance is responsible for leading the Insurance Commission’s IT governance, risk, compliance, and assurance functions, ensuring technology operations are aligned with organisational objectives and whole-of-government requirements. Reporting to the CIO, the role provides strategic leadership in developing governance frameworks, risk management practices, and compliance programs that support secure, resilient, and effective technology services.

The role also plays a key part in strengthening organisational risk maturity, overseeing audit and assurance activities, and partnering with technology and business stakeholders to support informed decision making. You will demonstrate proven leadership in building and developing high-performing teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
