POSITION OBJECTIVE 

This role contributes to the professional investigative function of the WA Police Force by undertaking duties as a Forensic Investigator within Forensic Field Operations and/or Digital Forensics. The position incumbent is trained to undertake crime scene examination and extraction techniques with respect to major incident crime scenes or investigations. 

The incumbent will also develop and maintain expertise recognised by the WA Police Force Forensic Division in an area of forensic interest. 

SPECIALIST PRE-REQUISITES

It is a requirement that the position holder:

• Undertake a medical assessment
• Undertake a psychological assessment to determine their suitability and agree to undergo periodical psychological assessments, as required
• Possess a current Australian motor drivers licence class "C" or "CA"
• Possess a current Senior First Aid certificate

Describe a situation where you researched or investigated a complex issue, worked with others to achieve an outcome, and exercised professionalism, integrity or sound judgement.
