About the Role

Tenure: 2-year fixed term contract (full-time) with possibility of extension

Location:  Jakarta, Indonesia

Invest and Trade Western Australia is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Education Business Development Manager to represent and promote Western Australia’s education sector in Indonesia, with a focus on increasing the State’s profile as a leading study destination and highlighting its diverse education and training capabilities. Based in Jakarta, this role will strengthen education partnerships, support international student engagement, and contribute to trade and investment outcomes between Western Australia and Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Western Australian education and training providers, Indonesian government agencies, industry stakeholders and partner institutions to identify opportunities, build partnerships and support strategic education initiatives.
  • Contribute to advancing Western Australia's international education objectives through stakeholder engagement, market intelligence, targeted promotional activities and business development.
  • Support inbound and outbound visits involving education sector stakeholders, Ministers and Western Australian Government representatives.
  • Lead the development and delivery of initiatives aligned with Western Australia's international engagement priorities, including activities under the Western Australia–East Java Sister-State relationship and the Western Australia–East Java University Consortium (WAEJUC).

This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and does not attract a relocation package. To be considered candidates must currently reside in Indonesia and have valid working rights.

As a locally engaged staff member, you will be employed through an Employer of Record (EOR), which acts as on behalf of the Department. Your employment will be governed by conditions of service that comply with Indonesian labour laws.
