We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant – Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Atwell PS is seeking Mainstream Education Assistants who are passionate about supporting students and committed to making a positive impact on their learning.  Successful applicants shoudl have high expectations and a genuine belief that all students can learn and achieve success within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Working under the direction of the teacher, you will assist with the delivery of planned education programs for individuals and small groups of students. You will work collaboratively as part of a team and use effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.

Suitable applicants will ideally be organised, show initiative and assist with the preparation and maintenance of an engaging, inclusive and save learning environment. You will also support the health and wellbeing of students and assist with the management of student behaviour in accordance with school policies and programs.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
