This is a permanent part-time (0.2 FTE) position commencing in Term 4, 2026

The Role
Newton Moore SHS are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Assistant to join their friendly school.
The successful applicant will ideally prepare the classroom and workshop to enable the classroom teacher to instruct students effectively, prepare specialised equipment and materials and provide operational advice for design and technology classes. The successful applicant will maintain and assess technical equipment, carry out minor repairs and maintain the design and technology equipment and assist with stock takes. Although qualifications or experience in Workplace Health and Safety is preferrable, it is not mandatory.

Eligibility

- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and ability to work independently.
