Dalyellup Primary School (PS) is located in the South-West of Western Australia (WA) in the beautiful beachside suburb of Dalyellup Beach Estate, 12 kilometres south of Bunbury.

The Role

Dalyellup PS is seeking a dynamic Deputy Principal dedicated to fostering educational leadership within our school and the wider community. In this role, you will develop and promote our school's vision, business plan, and strategic directions, ensuring alignment and engagement across all stakeholders. Central to your responsibilities, you would be cultivating and maintaining a positive school culture that nurtures strong relationships among students, staff, parents, caregivers, and the broader community.

As part of the senior leadership team, the Deputy Principal will contribute to whole-school improvement priorities and the effective day-to-day operation of the school, including student services, staff and student wellbeing, workforce organisation, policy development, timetabling and other operational responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who ideally has the following:

• Leadership and mentoring - Proven ability to guide, support and develop staff within a collaborative, values-led school culture.
• Behaviour and engagement - Deep understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and experience implementing school-wide frameworks.
• Communication skills - Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage openly with staff, students, families and the wider community.
• Data-driven improvement - Capacity to use data meaningfully to drive student achievement and school improvement planning.
• Health and Wellbeing- Capacity to support staff, students and families with wellbeing strategies.
• Digital Technology – Capacity to support the implementation of our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program and digital technologies in our school.

The successful applicant should also display a proven capacity to lead sustainable school improvement by building trust, fostering collaboration and creating genuine staff commitment to a shared vision.
