Are you an experienced nurse leader with a passion for operational excellence, patient flow, workforce leadership and delivering safe, high quality patient care?
Join us in a critical leadership role responsible for providing after hours clinical and operational oversight across Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospital (SCGOPHCG). You will lead the After Hours Nursing Teams, support patient flow and access initiatives, coordinate organisational responses to emerging risks, and ensure the delivery of safe, high quality patient care.
There are multiple Permanent Full-Time / Part-Time and/or Fixed Term Full-Time / Part-Time appointments available including:
- Coordinator of Nursing – After Hours (Afternoon and Weekend Shift; ~1.8 FTE)
- Coordinator of Nursing – After Hours (Night and Weekend Shift; ~1.6 FTE)
Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
Given the senior leadership responsibilities and need to maintain operational continuity and currency/relevance, priority will be given to applicants seeking appointments of 0.8FTE or greater in a job share arrangement.
All successful applicants will be required to participate in the follow rosters:
- Afternoon shift with rotational weekends
OR
- Night shift with rotational weekends
Specifics of these rosters will be discussed with successful applicants.
What is our Coordinator of Nursing – After Hours role?
As the Coordinator of Nursing – After Hours, you will be at the forefront of leading the SCGOPHCG Nursing teams, After Hours. You will work autonomously and in collaboration with clinical and non-clinical staff to operationally manage, resolve and reduce risks.
The role works in collaboration with direct reports to manage the human, financial and material resources within their allocated portfolio in accordance with policies, objectives goals and values of the SCGOPHCG.
The Coordinator of Nursing – After Hours is a new role to the SCGOPHCG the successful applicants will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the development, refinement and evolution of the service model, helping shape the future direction of after-hours nursing leadership across the health care group.
