We are seeking an experienced and motivated Coordinator of Dietetics to lead and coordinate Dietetic Services across the Royal Perth Bentley Mount Lawley Group (RPBMG). This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an advanced Dietitian who is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care while supporting workforce development, service innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

As the Coordinator Dietetics, you will undertake professional practice while providing operational and strategic leadership for Dietetic Services within RPBMG. You will coordinate service delivery across specialty areas, manage and support Dietetic staff, drive quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to workforce planning and service development.

Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will provide advanced Dietetic services to complex inpatient and outpatient caseloads and act as an expert clinical consultant to Dietitians and other health professionals.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and coordinate Dietetic service delivery, triaging and caseload management across allocated specialty areas
  • Manage the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of Dietetic services and associated clinical standards.
  • Provide expert clinical leadership and consultation for complex patient care.
  • Lead recruitment, training, performance development and supervision of Dietetic staff.
  • Contribute to strategic business planning, workforce development and service innovation.
  • Coordinate education and training programs for Dietetic staff and support student placements.
  • Drive clinical research, evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, review and implement policies, procedures and clinical protocols relevant to Dietetic services.

Suitability Criteria

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in Dietetics and eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia (DA) as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).
  • Extensive Dietetic clinical and leadership experience within acute care specialties or other relevant specialty areas.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving and self-management capabilities.
  • Proven leadership experience including staff management, clinical supervision, mentoring and support of staff and students
  • Extensive experience in clinical research, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
  • Current knowledge of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety requirements.

Desirable

  • Completion of, or progress towards, a relevant postgraduate qualification or advanced training.

Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) is Western Australia's longest-serving hospital and renowned for contributing to innovation and excellence in medical research and patient care. It is a 450-bed hospital, with an extensive range of services including Adult major trauma, complex and elective surgical care, highly specialised surgical services, tertiary mental health and specialist medical services.

Mount Lawley Hospital (MLH) is part of the RPBMG and is located just minutes from the Perth CBD offering a range of services including Outpatient clinics, general medical, rehabilitation and geriatric services, surgical, day procedures and endoscopy.

Bentley Hospital (BH) is a fully accredited public hospital located 10km from the Perth CBD and forms part of the RPBMG. BH provides quality healthcare to the community, specialising in the delivery of rehabilitation, community child and adolescent health, mental health care and aged care services. The range of services includes specialist outpatient services, Allied Health, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology and Urology.
