This position is offered as a full-time appointment (76 hours per fortnight) on a permanent or fixed-term basis. Fixed Term Appointments may lead to extensions and/or permanency.
An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Manager to join the team at Halls Creek.

To be successful, you will have...
- Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrate advanced skills in the practice of general nursing and previous management experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of effective written and verbal communication skills in negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated experience of human resource management policy and procedure.
- Demonstrated understanding of continuous quality improvement programs and risk management.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence and an ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays away from home.
- Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery.
Position Profile:
The occupant of this position will demonstrate advanced problem-solving strategies to influence, manage and coordinate patient care. Also act as team leader of the multi-disciplinary team and assume clinical/professional management responsibility for the Emergency Department and General Ward.

Area Profile
WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office. WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health, and support staff.
