A great opportunity exists for a suitably experienced Clerk to join the Exmouth administration team!

Position Profile: Provides administrative and corporate services to the general practice and Exmouth Multi-Purpose Service environment. Provides patient data input, maintains data integrity and medical records. Operates telecommunications for the site including switchboard, text system. Provides receptionist duties as directed including typing, faxing, and managing consumer enquiries.

This full-time position is offered as permanent or fixed term, with fixed term including the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Casual hours may also be considered.

Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Midwest health region of Western Australia covers more than 470,000 square kilometres, nearly one fifth of the State, with its population concentrated along the coast. The region is located in the northern middle section of Western Australia and incorporates three health
districts - Gascoyne, Geraldton, Midwest and Murchison, is recognised for its unique natural environment and is a culturally diverse region with Aboriginal people representing 13% of the overall population.

  1. Administration & Customer Service Skills
    • Demonstrated experience providing high-quality customer service, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Technical & Data Management Skills
    • Proficiency in computer systems, data entry, word processing and other administrative software applications.
  3. Healthcare Environment Knowledge
    • Demonstrated understanding of administrative practices within a healthcare setting and the ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
  4. Organisation, Teamwork & Flexibility
    • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, multitask and work effectively as part of a team in a busy and complex environment. Ability to work office hours of 8:00am–4:36pm and hold, or be eligible to obtain, a current WA C Class Driver's Licence.
