Successful applicants will enter the Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR) Recreation Camps casual instructor pool, and provide instruction of team building, aquatic, paddling and roping activities based on the Challenge by Choice principles.
Applicants must possess a positive attitude, professionalism and the ability to work independently and in a team environment in varied environments. Successful candidates should have experience in providing sporting or outdoor instruction to youth in either a formal or informal setting.
Employment is seasonal, however during peak periods this can be up to 5 days work for instructors who may have a broad range of competencies. Employment is during business hours with some evening programs (no overnight stay required).

Each of the recreation camps will also conduct ‘site induction and have a go day’ which are required to attain work at those campsites.
Applicants considered suitable but not appointed may be offered other similar opportunities as they arise within the next 12 months.
