Web Developer/Programmer Pool
Pool Ref 112.029   Specified Calling Level 2, $81,348 - $89,905 PSGOGA

Landgate is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced web mapping application developer to be a part of a team researching, designing, and developing innovative web applications to make remotely sensed image products and spatial information products usable and accessible by the community and government.

This new role has been created to deliver on some of Landgate’s key projects, including enhancing services for emergency management, agricultural, and natural resource management customers and other cross-government initiatives.

As part of the Satellite Remote Sensing Services’ Access and Delivery team, your focus will be on researching, developing and maintaining operational web mapping applications, making accessible terabytes of near real-time satellite imagery products and spatial data, while being innovative in developing new solutions for making spatial data more accessible, interoperable, and useable. As part of a small team, you will be intimately involved at every level of our projects, from requirements gathering to research, development, and beyond.

To succeed in this role you will be self-motivated, be able to work with minimal supervision, have strong problem solving and computer programming skills, and a passion for investigating and integrating new technologies.

Landgate is establishing a pool of Web Developers / Programmers. Applicants found suitable will be placed into a pool from which permanent or fixed term opportunities (up to 12 months with up to a 12 month extension) will arise as business needs develop.  The pool will operate for a period of 12 months on completion of the review period.
