As the Lecturer Community Services – Youth, your primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with the relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements and within approved quality frameworks, policies and standards. You will be required to undertake professional activities related to delivery. To maintain quality educational services you will also be required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development and to provide up-to-date information and advice to the Institute and industry where appropriate. Undertake relevant administrative processes that directly assist with student learning, record management and assessment.

West Coast Institute of Training is establishing an appointment pool for appointments to lecturing vacancies in this subject area.
The appointment pool will operate for 24 months from the date of the initial placement in the pool. Appointments may be made on a full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed-term contract basis.
Suitable applicants will be placed in the appointment pool from which opportunities may be offered as vacancies arise. Employment opportunities in similar positions within the agency may also be offered to suitable applicants from this pool.
If the Appointment Pool is exhausted prior to the pool expiry date, we reserve the right to supplement the pool through further advertising
Eligibility for employment at West Coast Institute of Training is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. As this position will, or is likely to involve contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
