The Department for Child Protection (DCP) Western Australia needs your help in protecting and caring for children and supporting young people at risk. As a Child Protection Worker you will provide an invaluable service to the community by promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and working with families to make positive changes in their lives which ensure the safety or their children.

What are we looking for?
Qualifications and Registration
4 year Social Work Degree (If 3 years must have 3 years full time post qualifying work experience)
Work related requirements
If you can demonstrate that you have knowledge and skills in the below areas we encourage you to apply
- Knowledge of the issues in the protection and care of children and young people.
- Ability to engage, empower and build strong working relationships with a diverse range of clients, stakeholders, partners and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated assessment and analytical skills, as well as strong communication skills (written, verbal and non-verbal).

Suitable applicants may be placed in a pool for up to 12 months and approached to fill positions once they become available.
All applicants who are offered a place in the pool will be required to have their qualification assessed by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) prior to being offered a position with the Department. AASW assess all qualifications for Social Workers immigrating to Australia. You will be advised when to commence this process.
