The Casual Lecturer Diploma Building & Construction ( Building ) CPC50210 - Pathway WA79 delivers programs that meet specified learning outcomes within the lecturer’s range of competence. The Diploma of Builders & Construction (Building) CPC50210 – Pathway WA79 has been modified by the Builders Registration Board of WA to contain competencies considered necessary for practical building. A booklet containing detail of the course is available on request from Anne Cannone on 9267 7674.
Lecturers will ensure a customer focused approach in the discharge of duties and work within the conditions established under the prevailing Acts, Agreements and Award provisions. They will also undertake appropriate staff development to maintain currency of knowledge and skills in areas of expertise.

Work Benefits and Other Conditions
Polytechnic West is establishing an appointment pool for causal evening lecturers for the Diploma Building & Construction (Building) CPC50210 - Pathway WA79. Applicants will be assessed on an as needs basis for vacancies within this subject area or in related areas. Applicants assessed as suitable but not offered immediate work will be placed in an appointment pool for 24 months from which further employment opportunities may be offered.
Eligibility for employment at Polytechnic West is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. As this position will, or is likely to involve contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
