Salary MP Year 1-7 $130,145 - $174,823 p.a. (inclusive of base salary, 9.5% superannuation and professional development allowance)

This position is designed for candidates intending to undertake the 36 months of Advanced training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (Adult Medicine). Applicants need to ensure they meet the RACP entry requirements in the RACP Gastroenterology 2019-2020 Handbook (attached) in order meet the training criteria to support employment in an Advanced Training position.
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time appointments for 6 -12 months with the possibility of extension(s).

Position Profile: The Registrar – Trainee – Gastroenterology/Hepatology will be an integral part of a team committed to providing high quality and patient centred care to all patients under the supervision of Clinical Supervisors within a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide training, supervision and education for Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) and Interns. In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team works to achieve national, State and North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) performance standards and targets. Doctors wishing to apply for Gastroenterology Training Program through the college must also apply for this position. Area Profile: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical service including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
