Salary: MP Year 1-7 $130,145 - $174,823 p.a. (inclusive of base salary, 9.5% superannuation and professional development allowance)

Position Profile: The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery is seeking a RACS Trainee in Cardiothoracic Surgery or a Non-Training Registrar with significant experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery. The role of the Registrar would be dependent on their previous experience and ability but would involve pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative management of Cardiothoracic Surgical patients. Service provision will be in accordance with departmental needs during normal working hours and as rostered for after hours and weekends. Service provision will encompass inpatient and outpatient and day care as determined and may vary from time to time depending on organisational needs and objectives.

Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
