Appointment Pool
Lynwood Senior High School is seeking to establish a pool of Teacher - Design and Technologies for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2021. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2021.
As a valuable member of the teaching staff, suitable applicants appointed from the pool would be responsible for the educational outcomes of the school's Design and Technologies curriculum.

The suitable applicants will possess:

Desirbable high level technical skills include:
- Digital Technologies: including Coding, Robotics, Virtual Reality and 3D Design
- Engineering and Mechatronics
- Applied Information Technology
- Materials Design and Technology
- Hold current industry/trade skills and knowledge which align to VET credentials.
- And possess additional qualifications including current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment currency
Suitable applicants will ideally have experience, understanding and technical skills to teach specific contexts within the existing West Australian Curriculum in Design and Technologies and/or Digital Technologies. As a Design and Technologies teacher you will participate as an integral member of the learning area and be responsible for supporting the collaborative approach to curriculum planning, providing learning programs to students suited to the needs of the school community and modelling exemplary teaching and learning strategies in your delivery.
Please indicate your specialist skill sets via your CV and through your written application. An ability to deliver courses to students from Year 7 to Year 10 is essential. In addition, applicants with the ability to teach the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses for Year 11 and 12 and /or relevant Vocational Education and Training Certificates would be highly desirable.
These positions require staff with a deep knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment and reporting who can continue to work collaboratively, in and across teams, to progress the school Business Plan and Learning Area Operational Plan. The ability to effectively use data to inform decision making should underpin your practice. Actively supporting the school commitment to Explicit Instruction will be central to the position.

Lynwood Senior High School is an Independent Public School situated 15kms south of Perth and caters for Years 7 to 12 students. We are a unique school that specialises in Sustainability Education, both socially through a strong focus on building respect and concern for others as well environmentally and the part our students will play in the world of tomorrow. Whilst our focus is sustainability we have a broad curriculum including a Specialist Soccer Program and a comprehensive choice of vocational education and training pathways for Year 11 and 12 students.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
