This is a Permanent, Full Time position.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with an awareness of Aboriginal legal issues and a passion for helping others in addressing their legal problems to work in a dynamic team operating out of South Hedland.
You will be responsible for the delivery of complex legal services, with an emphasis on family and criminal law particularly superior court work. The position requires regular outreach to circuit courts, remote communities and prisons and will include overnight stays.
Ideal candidates will be able to work autonomously and as part of a small team in often high pressure situations that might be time sensitive or require high level communication skills to manage clients presenting with drug and alcohol issues, mental health issues or presenting as generally distressed.
This position is well suited to solicitors with 5 year post admission experience and present a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for personal and professional development.
