Appointment Pool
We are seeking to establish a pool of Process Managers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 year and up to the end of 2021. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 year, up to the end of 2021.
The successful applicant(s) will manage ITIL processes and provide branch support with recommendations for process and management improvements. You will contribute to a safe work environment and foster equity and diversity enabling the achievement of personal and Education Business Services (EBS) goals that facilitate accomplishments of designated roles and deliverables.
The successful applicant(s) will contribute to the continuous improvement of ITIL processes relevant to the Department and represent the Directorate, as required, on Division committees and working parties.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including high-level negotiation, facilitation and consultation skills, and the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels.
- High-level skills and experience in achieving customer focussed outcomes that meet business requirements.
- Considerable understanding of technical issues in best practice IT service management, including the ability to translate technical requirements and specifications into easily understood business concepts and vice versa.
- Highly developed problem management skills, including the ability to identify problems and provide strategies to address them.
- Considerable understanding of common issues affecting end users and ability in the management of such issues.
- Significant skills and experience in the provision of information technology services in a large corporate or government environment.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
