Position Profile: The Legal and Legislative Services Unit in the Department of Health are seeking talented and energetic Legislative Support Officers to join their team.
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic and dynamic individuals for the position of Legislative Support Officer. As a Legislative Support Officer you will conduct research, exercise professional judgement and provide high quality legislative assistance to the Legal and Legislative Services Unit, under the supervision of a Senior Legislative Adviser. You will also assist Senior Legislative Advisers with legislative projects that are of moderate complexity and sensitivity. You will be an integral part of a flexible and collegiate team.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload in order to meet agreed timeframes in a high pressure environment.
- Ability to work autonomously, and collaboratively as a member of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Ability to build and sustain productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders with a customer service focus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally to achieve desired outcomes.
