About the role
The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries are seeking to establish a pool of suitable applicants for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made as vacancies arise over the next twelve months from the initial date of appointment from this pool.
As a Payroll Officer you will be responsible for providing customer focused personnel and payroll services and advice across the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. You will undertake a range of personnel and payroll processing activities and maintain accurate records of employment, personal details and entitlements in the human resource management information system (HRMIS).

Conditions
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.
Applicants found suitable for this recruitment pool may also be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within DLGSC and the wider public sector which arise prior to the pool’s closing date.
To be eligible to apply for appointment to permanent positions in the Western Australian Public Sector, you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia. For temporary (fixed term or casual) positions, you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
Location
This role is based at Gordon Stephenson House, 140 William Street, Perth.
