The Opportunity
Senior Child Protection Workers / Senior Field Workers are employed in the areas of child protection, children in care, and family support, where they respond to serious concerns regarding the safety of children. They engage and work alongside families to strengthen their capacity to provide care and a safe environment that will ultimately increase social wellbeing within the community.
The ability to successfully engage and build relationships with parents, children, familes, and the community is essential for this role. Join our dynamic team and gain exposure in contemporary child protection practice in a remote context and innovative professional development.

There is currently one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the Agency within the next 6 months.

Under our Child Protection Workforce Model, priority will be given to qualified applicants in the first instance to maintain a qualified workforce. Should a qualified applicant not be identified then this selection process will be used to fill the vacancy.
If you have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology or relevant human services area, please apply for the Senior Child Protection Worker position.
If you do not hold an approved qualification, please apply for the Senior Field Worker position.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
You cannot be considered for this position unless you have a completed university degree in:
- Bachelor of Social Work
- Bachelor of Psychology or
- relevant Human Services area.
NOTE: If you have a relevant Human Services qualification you will need to supply unit descriptions/summaries for assessment against the Qualifications Framework.
All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency. Each qualification must be assessed individually, and the assessment must confirm the equivalent Australian qualification level (i.e. equivalent to a Bachelors or Masters degree). This assessment can be conducted by Overseas Qualification Unit, AEI-NOOSR or AASW, and the outcome evidence provided at the time of applying.
