About the role
We are seeking a suitably experienced person to fill the fixed term position of Director, Infrastructure Policy and Governance. This role is full-time, but the Department would consider a job share arrangement for the right applicant/s.
The Director, Infrastructure Policy and Governance directs, develops and manages the Infrastructure Policy and Governance branch to meet the requirements of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries strategic objectives.
This position is fixed term until 18 October 2020 with a possibility of further terms and/or permanency. At the conclusion of the initial engagement, subsequent contracts may be offered or the Department may choose to readvertise the opportunity.

Please note that the Department will be closed between Wednesday, 25th December 2019 and Wednesday, 1st January 2020 inclusive.
Conditions
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.
While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within DLGSC and/or the wider public sector which arise within twelve months of the recruitment process being endorsed. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered fixed term, permanent, part-time or full-time.
For temporary (fixed term or casual) positions, you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
Location
This role is based at the Perth Cultural Centre.
