The Department of Communities brings together the services and functions of disability services, child protection and family support, housing, community initiatives and regional services reform.
The Opportunity
As an Education Officer you will be responsible for the following:
- Providing education services for children who come under the care of, or to the attention of the Department for Child Protection
- Developing and maintaining education programs and supports to children, schools, carers and/or families
- Consulting and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate
- Providing educational and social skill development to the child, family or caregiver where appropriate

There is currently one (1) fixed term position available for immediate filling for a period of up to 30 April 2020 with a possibility of extension or permanency.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the Agency within the next 6 months.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
You will need to have a completed Bachelors Degree in Education or relevant equivalent to meet the requirements for this position. All overseas qualifications must have been assessed for Australian Equivalency.
