About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Medical Centre Team within the Health Centre at Casuarina Prison in the role of Senior Medical Receptionist.

This position provides clerical assistance to the Health Centre team and will be offered as full time, working 75 hours per fortnight.
About you
To be successful for this role, you will need to have the following skills/abilities:
- Great communication skills, being able to interact with a wide variety of people in both written and oral form and provide excellent customer service,
- Be efficient in prioritising your workload, with and without supervision,
- High level skills in operating a personal computer and various software applications, including the MS Office suite, and/or records management system.
- A team player, interacting with our team to achieve positive outcomes for our patients,
- Able to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to the Equal Opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety and Health legislation and relevant policies and standards.
All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.

Pool Recruitment
The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. When part of a pool you may be offered a permanent or temporary position, however an appointment is not guaranteed.
This pool will be open for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of first appointment. Permanent and fixed-term full-time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise.
