About the role
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the position of Regional Officer.
The role assists with the development of regional, district and local level partnerships with other Government departments, local government and community groups to lead the development of optimum facilities and service planning and delivery in the Peel region.
The role also networks, negotiates and liaises at a regional, district and local strategic level with external stakeholders and undertakes project work on sport and recreation planning and service delivery issues.

Conditions
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment. This role also requires a valid Working with Children Check which will be required prior to commencement of employment.
While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within DLGSC and/or the wider public sector which arise within six months of the recruitment process being endorsed. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered fixed term, part-time or full-time.
Location
This role is based at 16 Dolphin Drive, Mandurah.
The successful candidate will be required to reside within the Peel Region (or within 50km of the Mandurah Office).
