About the Role
Main Roads Western Australia has a rapidly growing network of electrical assets. Since the inception of the Asset Management Traffic Systems team ten years ago, Main Roads has seen a 90% increase in the number of Intelligent Transport System (ITS) assets. There has been a refocus on the electrical asset management section to be a strategic electrical asset management role, to ensure Main Roads is prepared for the substantial increase of electrical assets that are reaching the end of their serviceable life.
Main Roads are seeking a professional and driven individual to join the Electrical Delivery Team as Electrical Maintenance Manager. In this role you will be responsible for contract management of the electrical maintenance element of the State-wide Electrical Maintenance Contract, undertaking the role of the superintendent’s representative, managing compliance and providing advice in relation to the contract. You will also manage routine and reactive maintenance of electrical assets, working closely with the contractor and monitoring progress and performance.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have experience in the construction and/or maintenance of electrical control systems and intelligent transport systems and you will be able to demonstrate application of Western Australian Electrical Requirements in a past role. Your ability to effectively manage resources and experience in building collaborative working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders will also be critical to your success.

- Evidence of your current Western Australian ‘C’ Class drivers licence (or approved equivalent)
- Evidence of your Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering as specified in the Job Role Statement and unrestricted electrical worker’s licence (if applicable)
- A statement outlining your substantial skill, knowledge and experience in the following three (3) criteria in no more than three (3) pages:
- Construction and/or maintenance of electrical control systems and intelligent transport systems
- Project and contract management including time and cost related claims for major works
- Managing technological, physical and other resources within agreed allocations to meet agreed outcomes
