Conditions
This is a full time, permanent vacancy. There will also be a Pool running for a period of 18 months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool where appointments may be considered for similar vacancies for full-time, part-time, casual, fixed term or permanency.
Location
This position is located in Perth CBD, ideally located within easy walking distance of the bustling café, cultural, tourist and shopping districts.
Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional team player who is an expert in the field of Media and Communications. This is an excellent opportunity if you want to:

- Be part of the team helping to deliver the New Museum.
The Media and Communication Coordinator reports to the Manager Marketing, Media and Audience Development, and is responsible for the development, coordination, and evaluation of the WA Museum’s earned and owned media and communications strategies including but not limited to; media relations, stakeholder communications and social media content strategy to enhance and promote the Museum’s reputation, programs and services and drive visitation to WA Museum sites across the State.
Specific duties you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Coordination, planning, development, and implementation of effective media and communication strategies to promote the diverse work of the WA Museum.
- Leading the development and implementation of media and social media content frameworks and policies.
- Providing strategic direction to team members about effective media and communication outcomes.
- Effectively present messaging to a range of target audiences across diverse media channels.
- Management of the Museum’s media and communications team to deliver integrated plans and messaging to a wide range of audiences.
- Development of effective media networks and relationships.
