About the role
We are seeking a suitably experienced person to fill the part-time 0.4 FTE position of Community Relations and Promotions Officer.
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of communications and promotional projects, including marketing, events and publications for the Office of Multicultural Interests (OMI). The role provides administration support to the Community Relations and Information Branch as required.
This position is fixed term for 12 months with a possibility of further terms. At the conclusion of the initial engagement, subsequent contracts may be offered or the Department may choose to readvertise the opportunity.

Conditions
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.
While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within DLGSC and/or the wider public sector which arise within six months of the recruitment process being endorsed. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be considered fixed term, part-time or full-time.
Location
This role is based at Gordon Stephenson House, 140 William Street, Perth.
