About the role
The Prison Support Officer contributes to the overall suicide and self-harm intervention and prevention strategy within a custodial setting.
Participates in prison based suicide prevention case-management for prisoners identified as being vulnerable.
Manages the performance and training of the Peer Support Team.
Meets regularly with the Senior Officers to provide debrief on issues and concerns identified through communication with Peer Support team.

About you
If you have:
- Experience in working with Indigenous communities, agencies, and individuals
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to prioritize, organize, and complete task within set timeframes
- Experience in identifying people at risk of self-harm or suicide and
- A high level of integrity
