About the role
An opportunity to contribute to access to justice through providing modern and responsive administrative support in both the civil and criminal jurisdictions of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. You will build knowledge of Court operations, protocols, procedures and legal terminology, as well as develop productive working relations with the judiciary.
Reporting to a Supreme Court Registrar, and working very closely with them, Registrars’ Associates are responsible for:
- Attending court, calling cases, audio typing orders in court and maintaining a record of proceedings.
- Preparing, examining and organising files.
- Acting as a point of contact for legal practitioners and members of the public seeking to approach or refer information to the Registrar.
- Recording findings, generating documents and retrieving reports from ICMS (the Court’s case management system).
About you
If you are a self-motivated individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail and an ability to work efficiently, both independently and as a member of a team, then we would like to hear from you.
