Walkaway Primary School (PS) are seeking an exemplary educator to join their teacher team as a part time Primary LOTE Indonesian Teacher.
The successful applicant will reflect an effective teaching practice, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential. With effective interpersonal skills, you will work closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students. The successful applicant will demonstrate a capacity to meet the need of individual students in split or combined classes.
We are a collaborative team who provide excellent collegial support and uphold a vibrant family atmosphere. While we are a small school we have strong community ties and the ability to manage multi age classrooms.
The school caters for students from Kindergarten to year 6. Many of the seventy students at the school are from the more traditional farming areas, some are from the small township and some are from smaller properties in the area. There are two bus routes servicing the outlying areas.
The school is located in the township area surrounded by wheat paddocks. It has shady trees and areas of well established gardens, green grass and a large reticulated oval.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
