This is a nine (9) month fixed term, part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2019.
Ellenbrook Secondary College (SC) is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Physical Education and Health Teacher. Primarily the role will involve coordinating a school-wide Netball Program, coaching interschool netball teams, and teaching lower-school netball classes as well as teaching a range of general Health and Physical Education classes. Experience in teaching Year 11 General Physical Education Studies would also be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be flexible, willing to work collaboratively with staff and possess strong interpersonal skills to allow connection within the school community to achieve the best outcomes for all students. The successful applicant will be highly motivated; student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. To be successful you will exhibit the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school Health and Physical Education curriculum.
Ellenbrook (SC) is immensely proud to be one of only a handful of high schools in the state with an accredited, Department of Education approved, specialist music program for instrumental music and voice. Many of our gifted and talented graduates have subsequently been offered highly competitive places at the WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Our music students have been invited to exhibit at both a national and international level on multiple occasions and often perform at significant events around Perth, such as the ANZAC Day Dawn Service ceremony at Kings Park.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
