We are looking for an innovative and experienced leader to plan and implement a range of marketing, branding and audience development strategies to meet the diverse needs of our visitors and the organisation at this exciting time of change. As well as managing marketing across multiple museum sites, you’ll be an integral part of the team who will be delivering the New Museum for WA.

Job Description As the Manager of Marketing and Audience Development you will lead a team which is responsible for marketing, audience research/insight and CRM. Working with multiple teams within the museum you will have the ability to provide advice to areas such as exhibitions, programing, education and more. You’ll also be a creative thinker with a strong understanding of the external landscape including tourism, arts and culture.
Specific duties you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Lead and manage the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic and operational marketing strategies to increase awareness of the WA Museum, its exhibitions, sites, diverse range of products, programs and services to create new audiences, as well as engage and develop strategic partnerships.
- Develop and implement, in collaboration with other Museum departments, a program of high profile functions and events to promote the WA Museum, its exhibition program and strategic direction.
- Develop, manage and forecast the marketing, events and research budget, including meeting planning, monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Maintains a close liaison and working relationship with the Executive Management Team and the Director, WA Museum Foundation and represents the WA Museum at relevant functions, seminars, events and meetings.

Conditions This is a fixed term vacancy until 30 June 2020 with a possibility of extension and/or permanency. There will also be a Pool running for a period of 18 months from the initial appointment. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool from which full-time, part-time, fixed term or permanent appointments may be made.
Location This position is located in central Perth, based at Gordon Stephenson House, One40 William Street. This building is located above the under-ground rail link and within easy walking distance of the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.
