The Role This position provides professional procurement advice and develops and prepares high risk and/or complex contracts for the Public Transport Authority (PTA). It is also responsible for the co-ordination of internal tendering activities to ensure compliance with the Government’s and PTA’s procurement policies
To be successful in this role you will need to have considerable experience in high risk and/or complex tender and contract development and administration as well as knowledge and experience in applying Government procurement policies and procedures. You will also have a demonstrated knowledge and some experience with contract and commercial law.
We are looking for someone who communicates well including the ability to effectively negotiate with a range of stakeholders. You will require highly developed analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to analyse and resolve tender and contract related issues and identify and resolve probity issues related to tendering and contracting activities. A knowledge or experience of quality management principles and practices and sound project management skills are also a requirement in this role. Additionally you will have experience in supervising and facilitating teams to ensure customer service levels are achieved.
We currently have one permanent full time position vacant. Other suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made as vacancies arise over the next twelve (12) months.
