Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to the position of Scientific Officer. The Scientific Officer will undertake mosquito-borne disease surveillance activities including regular field surveys, mosquito identification, assist with the operation of the sentinel chicken program and other specific projects relating to the surveillance of mosquito-borne disease in WA. In this position you will assist with administration of the Biological and Applied Environmental Health Hazards Unit of the Department of Health. You will also provide advice to the public on mosquitoes, mosquito-borne disease and control strategies.
