An exciting development opportunity exists for three public sector employees to support the leadership team at the Department of the Premier and Cabinet on a fixed-term (six-month) basis.
The Executive Manager position will act as a professional adviser to one of the following:
- Deputy Director General, Policy and Reform; or
- Deputy Director General, Infrastructure and Major Projects; or
- Executive Director, State Services,
and will assist them to oversee the efficient and effective operations of a division.
On a day-to-day basis, the Executive Manager will:
- Assist the Deputy Director General or Executive Director with research, stakeholder consultation, analysis and project support.
- Facilitate continuous improvement, including through ongoing monitoring of projects and proactively responding to issues that may impact on the division's or DPC's strategic priorities.
- Establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships, managing the division's interface with relevant stakeholders, including the Premier's and Ministers' Offices.
- Work with the Manager, Office of the Director General, as part of DPC's executive management network.
In addition, the Executive Manager appointed to the position in the State Services Division will have a leadership role in driving and implementing red tape reduction and business improvement initiatives across the division and the department.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which temporary appointments (six-month basis) will be made.
