Albany Regional Prison Health Centre is a safe and secure Corrective Services working environment where staff can make a significant contribution towards the efficient delivery of Health Services.
Role
The Senior Medical Receptionist (SMR) is responsible for providing administrative support to Health Centre staff. The position is pivotal to the efficient functioning of the Health Centre and operates in an environment of competing priorities and constant adjustment. The role is required to coordinate a diverse range of tasks including internal and external appointments ensuring the continuity of health care to inmates. This role also includes provision of administrative support to the health centre clinicians, ordering and payment. The SMR liaises and interacts with health centre patients and custodial staff together as well as with external agencies.
Tenure
These positions are via a pool recruitment process with permanent, fixed term, full time and part time contract opportunities as per the Public Service Award.
