Health Support Services (HSS) provides finance, supply and procurement management, corporate and human resource management and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services to the WA health system.

Other Conditions: The WA health system engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant’s integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
This is a Fixed Term opportunity while the substantive occupant is on a period of Parental Leave.
The role: We are seeking a suitable, experienced and motivated candidate into the role of Senior Project Officer. As a member of the Program Management Office within Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Business Unit, the Senior Project Officer will be responsible for undertaking research, analysis and for providing high level project advice on complex issues relevant to project and program management, across state-wide health portfolio. You will play an integral role in implementing and managing an effective governance framework and reporting function that provides oversight and executive visibility of major projects and programs across the health ICT portfolio. With your highly-developed communication and interpersonal skills, you will coordinate activities to maintain and ensure compliance associated with health ICT portfolio project management delegations and work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that project management methodologies are appropriately applied, managed and monitored in accordance with policies, processes and procedures.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, analytical, technology savvy and driven to deliver high quality and timely outcomes for our customer and to ensure continuous improvement of project and program management function in HSS.
