This position is offered as a 6 month contract/secondment opportunity with the possibility of extension/permanency. This position is temporarily vacant whilst the substantive occupant is seconded elsewhere.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
This role manages the delivery of quality, professional and responsive human resources functions and services relating to Employee and Industrial Relation across Western Australian Police Force (WAPOL). Provides industrial expertise along with manages the development, coordination and implementation of policies, programmes, strategies and procedures relating to industrial relations, grievance support, equal opportunity complaints management and disciplinary matters. Oversees the management and coordination of out-posted HR Practitioners.

Specifically, your CV needs to clearly outline your knowledge and experience in Industrial Relations and providing representation before the Industrial Commission or similar bodies. Your ability to demonstrate these requirements will be a key factor in determining whether you are competitive.

The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant’s ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work Related Requirements.

OTHER CONDITIONS
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the portfolio. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the panel may select another suitable applicant from this selection process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial date of the appointment.
Integrity and criminal checks will be conducted if the recommended applicant for this position is not a current WA Police Force employee. Any relocation costs associated with appointment to this position may be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
