Role
The Courts Technology Group is responsible for developing and maintaining our Integrated Courts Management System (ICMS) which is vital to the effective running of Courts in Western Australia. Our services are focussed on facilitating the change from manual court processes to a fully electronic Court.
In order to deliver these functions we have a number of Tester, System Support Officer and Tester/System Support Officer positions available for fixed term and permanent appointment.
Tester positions are responsible for testing new functionality and changes to existing functionality within ICMS. The Tester writes software tests, then runs those tests to check that the new or changed functionality within the application works as it should. They are also testing to ensure that the functionality achieves its intended purpose in terms of usability, accuracy and fitness for purpose. These positions are classified at Level 3 or 4 and appointment will be based on the extent of your relevant experience in terms of years and the size and complexity of projects you have worked on.
System Support Officers provide telephone and email helpdesk support to internal and external users of ICMS and other courts software applications. This can consist of advising the user how to do a particular action in the system, investigating situations where the system has not worked as expected and maintaining user accounts within the system. They also conduct in person training with Department of Justice staff.
Tester/System Support Officers undertake the work of both Tester and System Support Officer positions.
Tenure/duration of appointment: The pool is for permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments. Fixed term appointments have the possibility of extensions. The appointment pool will remain open for two years.
