12 month appointment pool
We are establishing an appointment pool for vacancies that arise up to 12 months from the first appointment.
Appointments may be made on a full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed-term contract basis with option for further term and/or permanency.
Suitable candidates will be placed in the appointment pool from which opportunities may be offered as vacancies arise. Candidates may also be considered for similar positions within South Metropolitan TAFE as they arise during the life of the pool. If the appointment pool is exhausted prior to the pool expiry date, we reserve the right to supplement the pool through further advertising.

About the role
The lecturer's primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities (PA) and Activities Related to Delivery (ARD).
In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.
To be successful in this role you will have current knowledge and competencies, at least 5 years’ experience and a qualification in Community Services or Client Directed Services such as aged care.
It is preferred that candidates already possess a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) at the time of application, or can demonstrate progression towards the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
