Position Profile: As a member of the Health Support Services (HSS) management team, the Director Program Delivery (ICT) is accountable to the Chief Information Officer for the successful delivery of all programs and projects required to support the ICT strategic objectives and maintain the provision of critical ICT infrastructure and applications for the WA health system. The Director Program Delivery (ICT) is also accountable for the provision of Program and Project Managers, required to deliver the agreed programs, projects and/or initiatives.
Additional responsibilities include establishment and maintenance of an appropriate governance framework for ICT programs and projects across the WA health system; establishment and oversight of ICT program portfolio management across the WA health system and accountability for ensuring each program, project or initiative is delivered per its defined scope, cost and schedule, aligned to the defined requirements.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will be expected to be an active and enthusiastic contributor to the strategic direction and management of the organisation. You will be service-driven and results-focused, driving transformation change that delivers productivity and high performance through best practice systems and processes that support improved outcomes and value for money across HSS and the WA health system.
Area Profile: HSS was established as a Chief Executive-governed Health Service Provider in 2016, operating as a statutory authority responsible for the delivery of a range of support services across the Department of Health and Health Service Providers. This includes finance, supply and procurement management, corporate and human resource management and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services across the WA health system.

Other Conditions: The WA health system engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Referees may also be asked to comment on an applicant’s integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
