Appointment Pool
Busselton Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of dedicated and experienced Health and Physical Education Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2018 school year and up until the end of Term 3, 2019.
As part of this role, the suitable applicant will engage and build productive working relationships with students, and be involved collaboratively with the Health and Physical Education Learning Area to improve student results. Ideally, applicants will be able to teach health and physical education across a range of ability levels from Year 7 to Year 12, within the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) fields, particularity Health and Community Services, and will have some knowledge of professional learning communities and intervention programs.
As a suitable applicant, you will be highly motivated, student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. You will utilise innovative strategies and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. This will involve you reflecting and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and cultivating a safe learning environment. With effective interpersonal skills, you will work closely with students, teachers and the community to instil our school values of Respect, Empathy, Achievement and Learning, allowing students to achieve to their full potential.

Busselton SHS is situated in a coastal town in the South West of Western Australia. The School was established in 1958 and has served the community for over 60 years. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
