Redcliffe Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2019 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2019 school year.
Suitable applicants will be passionate and highly motivated educators with the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. Applicants should already have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to deliver content in an engaging manner. Suitable applicants will ideally have the ability to work collaboratively in an open classroom environment, be familiar with the Explicit Teaching model and Instructional Strategies that utilise Bloom’s taxonomy and promote Higher Order thinking as well as a commitment to providing a stimulating, innovative learning environment to ensure that all children are achieving their maximum potential.
Redcliffe PS is a small school nestled among trees close to the domestic airport and part of the community for over 55 years. The school prides itself on innovation and forward thinking and has invested in state of the art technology for the whole school.
Staff work in partnership with parents to help children manage the home/school transition and develop life-long skills to participate in the wider community. As well as working closely in conjunction with our parent group we have many established community partnerships.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
