Appointment Pool
Hollywood Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic and highly skilled Kindergarten to Year 6 Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full time and part time vacancies which may arise during Term 4, 2018 and the 2019 school year. Placements can be made from the pool at any time for commencements in Term 4 and within the 2019 school year.
Hollywood educators are expected to lead professional learning and development of the school through sharing their expertise and knowledge. Hollywood PS provides shared leadership opportunities through representation on the various school teams, peer coaching and collegiate professional learning. Applicants will be required to participate in whole-school and phase of learning planning and curriculum development through shared leadership opportunities. Suitable applicants should be able to share their skills across the school and be a highly active member of the curriculum and leadership teams.

Teachers who have experience with these programs and directives are ideal applicants.
As a teacher in a high-performing school, suitable applicants will have expert skills and knowledge in a range of evidence based teaching strategies and assessment practices. Knowledge of how to analyse data for improvement and apply targeted teaching processes will be sought from the applicant. It is desirable for applicants to be experienced with strategies for sustained intervention, effective feedback for student progress, and reflective teaching practice for ongoing development.
Hollywood PS, as part of the wider Shenton Education Network, prides itself on its whole-school approach to the integration of STEAM across all learning areas. Applicants must have a demonstrated capacity to facilitate learning experiences that maximise the integration of a variety of ICT tools and devices. Teachers who have skills that can be contributed to our well-established coding clubs, DREAM Lab/Maker Space and Digital Literacy program will also be highly regarded.

This pool will also be used to appoint teachers in specialist roles for Health and Physical Education, STEAM, The Arts and Digital Literacy. Only applicants in the pool possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
