This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2018.
Dalyellup College is seeking a dedicated and motivated teacher of Humanities and Social Sciences to join their team.
The successful applicant will be innovative and engaging, with the ability to work in a friendly and collaborative environment. You will be reflective and assess the effectiveness of your teaching to improve learning. Your exemplary classroom practice provides purposeful and relevant learning experiences. Demonstrated capacity to teach ATAR courses and previous experience or qualifications is highly regarded.
Successful applicants will be exceptional at engaging students from Years 7 to 12 in Humanities and Social Sciences and assist students to achieve their highest potential. In this role, you will demonstrate a commitment to promoting excellence, knowledge and use of a range of instructional strategies and the ability to establish and maintain a positive and productive classroom.
Dalyellup College is located 10km south of Bunbury. It is an Independent Public School catering for over 800 Year 7 to12 students. Staff are highly motivated individuals who work collaboratively for the common good of the students. Great importance is placed on providing opportunities for students to develop values, knowledge and skills to contribute successfully to a rapidly changing society.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
