This is for Fixed Term, Full and Part Time opportunities, for a period of up to six (6) months with the possibility of extensions subject to business needs.
Role
Phases of capital projects involve a number of external contractors requiring access to prison sites. The Escort Officer facilitates this access and ensures that this is carried out in a manner consistent with the safety and security of prisoners, prison staff and visitors to the prison.
Fixed Term contract opportunities will arise as capital work projects commence. As a result, commencement and duration of contracts will vary between projects and will be offered on an as required basis.
Previous experience in a custodial or prison setting though not essential to undertake this role, would be highly regarded. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate previous prison experience as a prison officer or vocational support officer.
