WHAT’S THE ROLE?
As a Senior Child Protection Worker/Senior Field Worker you will investigate concerns about the welfare and safety of children and undertake case work activities of a serious nature. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate people who want to be part of a team that works with children, families and communities to keep our children safe.
You will also provide mentoring, advice and consultancy to Child Protection Workers and district staff on matters concerning the care, safety and protection of children. Our ideal candidate will have:
- an understanding of contemporary issues and challenges in the field of child protection
- sound assessment, analytical and interpersonal skills
- demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and culturally diverse families and communities
SENIOR CHILD PROTECTION WORKER, SPECIFIED CALLINGS 2
If you apply for the Senior Child Protection Worker role you must have a completed university degree in:
- Bachelor of Social Work
- Bachelor of Psychology or
- Relevant Human Services area
NOTE: If you have a relevant Human Services qualification you will need to supply unit descriptions/summaries for assessment, to determine if you meet our qualification requirements for this role. Please refer to our website or contact Recruitment if you have completed your qualification overseas.

SENIOR FIELD WORKER, LEVEL 5 (County Locations Only)
If you do not hold an approved qualification, please apply for the Senior Field Worker position.
